Ok so I NEEEEED SOME ADVICE.?

ok so there is this girl at my school, she said that she like me , i like her. we only talk at school and sometimes text, would it be weird if i asked her out to a date? and we like never hung out with each other at our houses, so how would i go about asking her to come over, if the the date i asker out to goes well?
