Why do I keep on getting an error evertime I try to install a Operateing System?

I have windows 7 Ultimate and I just installed Windows XP Mode and it inclueded a Virtual Micheine and it came wth Windows XP Professional already installed on to the Virtual PC. I would like to install more then one Operateing System on it. For Example Ubuntu Linux. I clicked on Create Virtual Hard disk and I knew how to find the DVD Drive settings so I could Boot it from cd and heres what happen #1. It showed me to pick a Language and I selected English. #2. I wanted to Install ubuntu and #3. I waited for the installation screen to apeare but like for no weared reason nothing happen all I show in DOS was an error but I dont know what it was saying you know computer like to take in text jest in jiberish sometimes your know so please help me alright. :)
