Why do YOU own/lease your horse? Riding, or otherwise?

I lease because I'm not ready to own a horse yet. I'm not really financially stable and I personally feel I need more experience in the care department (I don't come from a family of equestrians). But it's been great and it's almost just as good as owning. Hoping to ride more often once I find a new horse to lease......that I don't have to share with another leaser (hooray for that).
